Spotify Train Mode
Spotify has a special car mode for listening to music in the car. It provides a better interface and voice controls.
For a less car-centric mobility, we have to give other means of transport an equal standing in comfort and a thing, that always bothered me, is the complications when listening to music on the train.
A lot of times, important notices on the train, about delays, missing stops etc. are only transmitted over speakers and a person who uses headphones quickly misses these.
One possible solution could be a "Spotify train mode"! The idea is, to enable this whenever you enter a train and to forward the speaker messages to the users headphones.

Smart Car Pooling
There are plenty of carpooling apps, but they are all more based on being a social platform for people to organize the pooling themselves. Sometimes, especially for more complex situations, where it is maybe wise to first arrange a common gathering point and then share a car or plan the smartest route for multiple vehicles an algorithm would be handy that calculates the most efficient routes.
This would be based on the address and desired time of arrival and could take into account the car size, preferred or not preferred coworkers and even sub-routes with public transport and give the best possible route.

Calculate Power Consumption of Individual Devices with Machine Learning
There is an ongoing trend towards smart meters for measuring household power consumption and controlling smart devices, such as heat pumps. Sadly, the individual power consumption of older devices can not be measured, although it would be very handy to, because you can identify and eliminate major power sinks in your household.
One way to achieve this, without installing additional power meters on every device would be by machine learning and the already installed smart meter for the entire household. Although it only measures the total consumption, theoretically it my be possible to recognize patterns in the total consumption and thus figure out which individual device is active right now and consumes how much power.
