stimulus appears propagating in leftward direction because
rostral is at bottom (right
hemisphere, M=medial, P=posterior).
Lower Video: The above propagating waves of activity are shown overlaid on tonic activity components representing the orientation maps. Hence, these stationary maps encode the orientation of the grating simultaneously to its motion. Black outlines are drawn at 90th activity percentiles of the tonic components.
